Self - Care Facial Masks

With all of the chaos that’s been going on recently, taking time for yourself has become imperative. When I need to relax, I like to do a face mask. Two face masks I use regularly are the Morning Coffee Scrub and the Turmeric Aloe Vera face mask. The Morning Coffee Scrub is great for waking you and your skin up in the morning. I highly recommend this face mask for oily or combination skin. My next face mask, the Turmeric and Aloe Vera Face Mask, is perfect for either morning or night. It helps with all skin types by rejuvenating and hydrating your skin. I recommend using these face masks after you’ve washed your face but before you’ve used your toner.



Here are the recipes so you can make them at home:


Morning Coffee Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. Coffee Grounds

  • 1 tbsp. Coconut Oil

Steps:

  1. Melt the coconut oil in the microwave with a microwave safe bowl (15 secs)

  2. Then let the coconut oil cool for 3-5 minutes

  3. Mix the the coffee grounds and coconut oil together until even

  4. Spread the face mask evenly across the face and leave on for 10 minutes

  5. Then rinse off and continue the skin care routine as usual.


Turmeric and Aloe Vera Face Mask

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. Turmeric Powder

  • 2 tbsp. Water

  • 1 tbsp. Aloe Vera

Steps:

  1. Add the water and aloe vera into a bowl, mix until completely stirred.

  2. Add the turmeric into the mixture and stir again.

  3. Spread the face mask evenly across the face and leave on for 10 minutes.

  4. Then rinse off and continue the skin care routine as usual.
